The Power Up Series

Welcome! The ITL Power Up Series features two workouts a week to be completed on your indoor cycling trainer.  What makes the series unique is that it is virtual. The entire series is run through TrainerRoad. This gives you the flexibility to do the workouts in your home and around your schedule while still being part of a group that will hold you accountable for completing the training.

​The goal of this series is to increase your muscular endurance ahead of the big races in the late summer and fall. The intensity will be lower than the first two series, but you'll have less rest, thereby more closely mimicking race conditions. The 2018 version of this series will be very similar to the 2017 version of the series, so you will be able to compare your performance this year to your performance last year and see how far you've come! 

 

Like ITL Power Up Series 1, 2, and F, Series 3 will feature two workouts a week to be completed on your indoor cycling trainer through TrainerRoad. The Series will continue for six weeks. The virtual nature of the series gives you the flexibility to do the workouts in your home and around your schedule while still being part of a group that will hold you accountable for completing the training. Power Up Series 1 - 2018 Edition

Are you ready to Power Up?

 

The start of the new year brings many things, including the start of the third annual ITL Power Up Series. Our first six-week program, Series 1, will begin on January 15!

 

The goal of Series 1 is to increase the maximum power that you can produce with both your legs and your lungs. In turn, this increases your physical limitations and allows you to produce more power on your rides. To accomplish this, you will do a lot of repeats at a very high intensity. Series 1 workouts are not very race-specific, but that is by design. Most of our focus races won't come until long after Series 1 is over.

For 2018, the Series 1 workouts are all new!

Power Up Series F - 2017 Edition

Because what we do between the seasons matters as much as what we do during the season, Series F is aimed at laying the foundation for a successful 2017 season. The workouts will not be as intense as the workouts in Series 1, 2, and 3, but instead will be more focused on building strength, skill, and balance. Once the new year arrives,we'll build on these things to make you fitter and faster! 

 

Like our other Power Up Series, ITL's Power Up Series F will feature two workouts a week for six weeks and will be run through the TrainerRoad online platform. They will become available on Monday, November 7, 2016. You can do them at the times that work best for you and your coach, with a group or on your own.

**Everyone may participate in the ITL Power Up Series.  The series are available for $59 each. The Power Up Series is made available at no extra cost to all athletes with a current coaching contract with ITL.
